Majors Baseball - 12U

Any boy who has or will reach the age of 11 or 12 years old on April 30th shall be eligible to play in the Majors division. A player review and draft process may be held to form teams or equalize skills across teams. The Majors level is both competitive and instructional with admittedly more emphasis on the competitive aspects of the game than at the Minors level. Coaches focus on fielding a competitive team while also providing the players with a fun learning experience. All players are ensured playing time. Players should focus on refining their baseball skills with a strong emphasis on speed and consistency. Games are umpired by a hired umpire. At this level, the difference between an average player and a good player is the ability to consistently execute the required skills quickly.

Players in the Majors level should:

  • Advanced TEAM Concepts, including on-time to practice and games, prepared to play baseball (including the preparation, function and organization of individual safety equipment in the dugout)

  • Properly execute a double play (turn the ball quickly)

  • Outfield use of a relay for plays at the plate
  • Show proper batting stance, bat position, and swing execution
