HVAA Bronze soccer level is a great progression for children who have completed Platinum Soccer. Bronze level is a co-ed fun-filled program for all soccer players in grades 2nd and 3rd for the upcoming school year. Players will further develop basic skills of the game through age-appropriate activities and drills designed to keep the learning process both challenging and fun. Coaches will provide direction, but more importantly, let the kids have fun and PLAY in controlled game/scrimmage situations. The primary objective by the end of the season is to ensure that each player has a "positive experience", desires to play again the following year, and has successfully demonstrated the skills listed below.
- Sessions held at Chapko field.
- Guardians must stay with their child.
- Warm up techniques, including stretching.
- Understanding positions
- Dribbling – ball control
- Passing and receiving
- Shooting
- Corner kicks, goal kicks, throw-ins
- Good sportsmanship
- Some emphasis on position or game strategies is given at this age group
