HVAA Micro-Soccer is a co-ed fun-filled program for all soccer players entering Pre-K. At Micro-Soccer, players will learn various basic foot-skills and develop basic ball comfort. Every week will focus on a specific fundamental skill which is then incorporated into age-appropriate games. The primary objective by the end of the season is to ensure that each player has a "positive experience", desires to play again the following year, and has successfully demonstrated the skills listed below.
- Sessions held at Chapko-Lewis field
- The TEAM concept and respect for the game
- Guardians must stay with their child (a parent must help coach if their child is 4 years old)
- Warm up techniques, including stretching.
- Dribbling
- Passing and receiving
- Shooting
- Good Sportsmanship
- No emphasis is placed on position or focus on game strategies is provided at this age group
